The following data represents the 13 most common symptoms presented by Ortho-Care patients since 2002. It should be noted that there is a direct correlation between wear time frequency (% of weight-bearing time that the patient wears the orthotics) and pain relief of all symptoms. That is, the more often the patient wears the orthotics, the greater the pain relief in most cases.

While some orthotic clinics have follow-up programs, many providers simply use a "no news is good news" approach to patient care. Our research indicates that approximately 25% of orthotic patients in Ontario are not completely satisfied with the product and/or services they received, yet only 1 in 25 patients will complain.
In 2002, Ortho-Care developed custom software that tracks patient relief of over 50 symptoms. The follow-up discussion which takes approximately 3-5 minutes is completed by telephone in a few minutes, approximately 5 weeks after the patient receives their Precision Orthotics. 86% of Ortho-Care's patients achieve the expected level of pain relief for their listed symptoms, with many acquiring superior results within this 5 week period. (see chart above for averages). For those who do not experience these results, Ortho-Care provides reassessments and adjustments at no cost, in order to maximize the patient's pain relief. Upon completion, we will again follow-up with the patient to effectively track their results.. This cycle continues until the desired results are achieved. The Provincial and Federal governments have aided in the development of this follow-up program, offering grants to continue our innovative research.
Accordingly, this follow-up program is largely responsible for Ortho-Care's 400% growth since 2002. While our adjustments increased astronomically in the first few years, we have gained vital knowledge that allowed us to improve our services and products. As a result, Ortho-Care is now usually able to achieve targeted results based on the initial assessment, without the need for additional adjustments. Currently, our largest source of growth has come from the referrals of happy customers.
